I AM SICK...

I am sick and I hate being sick, the one thing I hate more than being sick is being sick with a sore throat. I just wasn't going to settle this time around with a sore throat. I asked my mom to bust out the salt water for me to gargle. I have only tried this once in my life, and I hated it so much I swore I would never do it ever again, and would rather go through the pain of a sore throat. Well yesterday I put down my pride, and I did it, I gargled with that gross salt water, and guess what?! It didn't work! I went to work still with a sore throat. I came home looking for something else to help. My recent trip to Amvets brought me home with a new book on healing herbs. I oped the book and found the section for sore throats.. here is what I found....

"If your throat is infected and mucusy, I recommend gargling with teas made from infection fighting, inflammation-soothing herbs such as sage, thyme, goldenseal, echinacea, or myrrh." says Upton - The Women's book of Healing Herbs secrets from 90 top herbal healers
So I then looked through my kitchen to see what I could find. I found thyme. I followed the recipe on how to make the homemade tea, and made it in 2 minutes. I then gargled my lil life away with that tea, and instantly after I did this my throat was soothed, no more sore throat!! Still today, I woke up with a fine throat, a little scratchy, but not sore! HALLELUJAH!!!!! I gargled a glass today too though just in case ;)

If you want to know more details on what to do and such let me know!

Experimental Cake Project...

So I am currently OBSESSED with amvets. It is awesome! I got so much stuff there crazy cheap. I love making cake. I just love cake. And when I was at amvets I found this Cake setup thingy that indents your cake with a picture of such.. The picture isn't really indented but raised.. as you can see here...

Anyways the project became a tragedy. All went wrong, the pan was not greased enough and everything stuck and it ended up like this... :/

The end project looked like this......

It tasted really good though, I have to add. But isn't it tragic. :( Maybe another test drive will be coming up again soon.
